At work, you make friends with your coworkers. Some of these friends are for a season, and some are for a lifetime. I made my first friend in Andrew, on my first day of orientation at my job. When we first met, we asked one another why we chose this job and why we needed to work. My reasons were to make money during the summer and school year. His were the same, along with the academic scholarship bonus. We shared our majors, hopes and dreams. We both had the same big picture. To glorify God, and share the gospel with others daily. Andrew and I have a lot in common, but, we are also very different. Differences are a blessing, because you get to experience new things and perspectives on life.
Andrew is one of the kindest people I know, and I have only known him a few months. He has a distinct voice that you could recognize anywhere. He greets customers and fulfills their needs without hesitation, and with a big smile. He has a great sense of humor and always makes me laugh when I least expect it. At our job, we hire people from all different types of backgrounds and pasts. This is what makes our company in a way, unique, along with serving quality food with a smile. Andrew works hard, and always has a smile on his face. If he brightens my day once or twice a week (when we work together), I can only imagine the impact he has on those he sees more often. Andrew is my “angel” at work, he is a Godsend and such an encouragement to everyone he meets. If there is a situation at work, and I need another opinion, I go to him. He has much wisdom for being so young. He shows me the situation from God’s perspective and how he thinks we should approach it. Andrew is a role model for me, and I am blessed to work and learn with him.
God puts “angels” in our lives on a daily basis, it is up to us to recognize them.
Andrew reminds me of how God can show Himself at work, even when you least expect it. God puts “angels” in our lives on a daily basis, it is up to us to recognize them. Andrew is one of the many angels in my life, and he is such a blessing to me. I can only imagine what he will do in this life on earth, and for the Kingdom of God. To the readers, keep your eyes open. Your angels are out there.

“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.”- Proverbs 19:20
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” – Colossians 3:12-14
