You Become What You Behold
Dear friend, you become what you behold.
You are more and more like who you spend time with. The people, voices, and things we continually set our hearts and minds on shape who we become.
So I ask you: Will you commit to being a student of God’s Word? Will you commit to seeking to know Him more and more through prayer, through Bible study, and through community with other believers?
Knowing God Leads to Loving God
The more you know Him, the more you will love Him.
For how can you love what you do not know?
The beautiful truth is that Jesus wants you to know Him. He has called you to draw near to Him, and He never calls you to something that He will not equip you to do.
You can know Him more deeply.
You can pray and ask the Lord for wisdom to understand His Word. James reminds us that when we ask God for wisdom, He gives generously. He delights in drawing us closer to Himself.

Growing in Holiness Through Knowing Christ
The more you know the Lord, the nearer to Him you will grow. The nearer you grow to Him, the more you will love Him. And the more you love Him and draw near to Him, the more you will become like Him.
You will begin to grow in holiness.
As Charles Spurgeon said, “Nearness to God brings likeness to God. The more you see God, the more of God will be seen in you.”
Draw Near to God Today
Let us commit to drawing nearer to God, resting in the promise that He is also drawing nearer to us.
He is holding us up.
He is equipping us to be faithful students of His Word.
He is growing us in holiness and sanctifying us day by day.
And He will continue this work in us until He returns or calls us home.
