There’s beauty in the fact that God is writing my There’s beauty in the fact that God is writing my story and I am not. He is planning my steps, guiding me faithfully through every twist and turn, every valley and mountaintop. He hides me in the valley of the shadow of his wing. He guards my soul. He is working in and through all things — in every little detail — and no pain or sorrow that I face is ever wasted. He uses all things to teach me of his good name and to grow me in grace and holiness.

Anxiety tries to convince you that the worst will Anxiety tries to convince you that the worst will happen, that you are all alone, that noone sees or cares for you.

but Jesus reminds you that he is always with you and will never leave you. He always sees you, always provides what you need when you need it. He goes before you, behind you and beside you. He holds all your tomorrows and he is working in and through them for his own glory and your greatest good.

Wherever you go, Jesus is. Whatever valley you may Wherever you go, Jesus is.
Whatever valley you may walk, Jesus is.
Whatever mountain you may climb, or view you may enjoy, Jesus Christ is there with you.
In every season you enter, Jesus is there.
He is always with you, he is never far. He sees you when no one else does. He is hope when all hope seems to be lost.

Joy and peace are not found in any earthly comfort Joy and peace are not found in any earthly comfort or human apologies, nor is it found in changes in circumstance.

Romans 15:13 tells me that my joy and peace come from the God of hope, IN believing.

Run to Jesus! He alone settles your weary heart. You can rest, knowing that God is good even if your circumstances never change! Our joy and peace ABOUNDS in believing in the God of hope, nothing else. He is our greatest (and certain treasure). He is the wellspring of our soul. He alone can satisfy + he will satisfy you with himself and no one and nothing can ever take Jesus away from you, not even death.

Do not measure God’s love for you by the way your Do not measure God’s love for you by the way your current circumstance appears. You may be on the mountaintop right now so it’s easy to feel loved by God. But what about when you’re in the valley? And there isn’t a single speck of light at the end of the tunnel? You have to measure God’s love by looking to the cross, believer. Remind yourself that while you were yet a sinner, Christ died for you. That will forever be the greatest proof of God’s love. Don’t lose sight of that.

Jesus himself invites you to come — without money, Jesus himself invites you to come — without money, without a list of things you have done, without any talent you may possess. He invites you to come, to sit with him and rest in him. His burden is easy and his yoke is light. You don’t have to be enough or have earthly riches to come, sit and be with him. What grace.

There’s a strength that’s developed in the valley There’s a strength that’s developed in the valley that can’t be taught in a seminar or found in a self-help book. It’s the kind of strength that comes from wrestling with disappointment and choosing to praise anyway. It’s the strength of serving when no one sees, of loving when it’s not returned, and of praying when it feels like nothing is moving. In the valley, we learn who our true source is. The valley is holy ground when it presses us into Christ.
You may not always (or often) see how the Lord is You may not always (or often) see how the Lord is working in the world, or in your life. In fact, it may seem like things are moving and acting according to their nature or that earthly powers are moving and acting on their own accord. But beloved child of God, it is not so.

The Lord is underneath it all, sovereignly and often quietly working to accomplish his purposes and plans. He is never far, he is always at work. He’s always interceding for you, guarding your life, directing your path. He constantly provides what you need now, and he will never allow you to be utterly destroyed.

Just as CS Lewis said, “I WAS THE LION WHO FORCED YOU TO JOIN WITH ARAVIS. I WAS THE CAT WHO COMFORTED YOU AMONG THE HOUSES OF THE DEAD. I WAS THE LION WHO DROVE THE JACKALS FROM YOU WHILE YOU SLEPT. I WAS THE LION WHO GAVE THE HORSES THE NEW STRENGTH OF FEAR FOR THE LAST MILL SO THAT YOU SHOULD REACH KING LUNE IN TIME. AND I WAS THE LION YOU DO NOT REMEMBER WHO PUSHED THE BOAT IN WHICH YOU LAY, A CHILD NEAR DEATH, SO THAT IT CAME TO SHORE WHERE A MAN SAT, WAKEFUL AT MIDNIGHT, TO RECEIVE YOU.”

You may not know what the Lord is doing, but you can trust that this sovereign Lord who did not spare his own son, who had worked faithfully, writing and completing the story of redemption from the garden til now — and will one day return in glorious splendor and might, is preserving your life, and writing the good story of sanctification so that one day, when he returns or calls you home you might be glorified and dwell in the house of the Lord with the Good and Faithful Lion, all the days of your life.
